Cozy moods are served up by the relaxed voice of Jan Cronin as she serves up conversational standards in the chamber mood of guitarist Andy Reiss and bassist Jim Ferguson. She sounds like she’s sitting at your table on “The Scent of Coffee and You” or sitting by the fireplace on a delicate “The Shadow Of Your Smile”. Ferguson and Reiss do marvelous things to form gently swinging drapes around Cronin on a thoughtful “My Foolish Heart” and bounce to delight on “S’ Wonderful”. There’s a coy sardonic with to “Peel Me A Grape” and dashes of revenge on “Cry Me A River” before hints of regret are reflected on “Some Other Time”. Casual coos.
