For his debut album, saxist Ari Silberman teams up with LA artists Josh Nelson/p, Christian Euman/dr, Jake Leckie/b and Erin Bentlage/voc on a lively and easy swinging session. Brian Walsh plays bass clarinet with Leckie’s snappy bass on “Augmented Blues” and the leader takes a rich walk through the reeds on “Hummingbird”. Silberman’s tenor has an easy swing on “Waitin’” and “Mack The Knife” going hip for the title tune”. Bentlage gives a solemn read on “Meditation…” while graceful during “If The Moon Turns Green”.
