Big  Beat: Sounds Good, Feels Good

Funky sounds that sound like the Second Coming of Tower of Power are produced by this big band conducted by trombonist Caleb Rumley. The album was produced by Pete McGuinness and the team has their dancing shoes on throughout. The horns punch like Mike Tyson on the funky “
Just Too Soon” and hip “A Penny For Your Thoughts” while some lush flute work by Sam Tobias drifts on “All The Love.” A take of the Jackson Five hit “I Want You Back” is a fun one with Dane Alexander’s tenor getting some work, and vocalist Allison McKenzie taps into her inner Aretha Franklin on the Motown hit “Knocks Me Off My Feet.” A fun one for the feet.
