Yes, you’ve heard these songs a million times, but you’re STILL going to love the delivery that Rozina Patkai has on them. The jazzy team of Balazs Pecze/tp, Matyas Toth/g, Marton Soos/b and Balazs Cseh/dr adds more of a jazzy flavor than usual, with Pecze’s horn a definitely swinging plus. A couple of more obscure tunes such as “Isto Aqui O Que E’” and the title track keep the whole session fresh, while the English vocal on “Smile” is more of a blip than an indulgence. Her earthy voice on “Chega De Saudade” and “Desafinado” is rich and alluring, and she sounds relaxed as she draws you into “garota De Ipanema.” Bossa fans will flock to this one!
