A mix of free jazz and Peruvian undertones takes place with Susan Alcorn on pedal steel guitar teamed with Luis Alvarea/g, Claudo Araya/dr-cuat, Francsco Aray/charango-quena, Rodrigo Bobadilla/flute-quena-zampona/voc, Amanda Irarrazabel/b-voc and Danka Villanueva/vi-voc. Many of the pieces have a free form, intuitive feel as on the eerie “Suite Para Todos” and bluesy “Donde Estan?”There’s a folksy feel to Mercedes Sosa” and the pan flutes mix the Andes with abstract jazz on “Lukax” with some voice and chanting for “El Derecho de Vivir en Paz” . A ride along the Amapuro river with whitewaters of sounds.
