Tenor saxist Anthony Bruno delivers easy on the ears soulful tones with a team of Julius Tucker/key, Andrew Vogt/b and James Russell Sims/dr on this collection of originals. Bruno has a warm yet modern tone, reminiscent of the likes of John Klemmer, on sweet toned “ Hang Glide” and the mellow “Thankful For You”. Sims’s cymbals gently coax out the gentle and upbeat “Feelings Outro” and allows Tucker’s keys to float on “Slow Love, Fast Feeligs”. Lots of synthscapes on the relaxed “Circular Thinking” and gentle cirrus clouds hover for “Aloha”. Mellow madness.
