The No Base Trio features drummer Leonardo Osuna, electric guitarist Gabriel Vicens and Jonathan Suazo on saxes, flute and EWI on seven intuitive originals. Suazo’s flute is featured on the ablstractt “ST 4” , and the EWI sears around the deep groove of “ST 6”. Vicens gets funky with Suazo’s tenor on “ST 3” and the three get ambient with atmospheres on “ST 7” and “ST 2”. A bright sax rocks on “ST 1” and the team scrambles like cockroaches with the lights turned on for “ST 5”. No bass, and little base.
