Tony Glausi: When It All Comes Crashing Down

Tony Glausi mixes dramatic sounds with dark and introspective messages as he sings, plays various keyboards and blows a glorious horns in a wide variety of settings with Emmet Cohen/p, Dan Chimielinski/b,  Bryan Carter/dr and various guests. He bookends the album with a gorgeous and luscious read of “Stardust” to close things out and a warm and glowing interpretation of horn and poetic voice on Tchaikovsky’s “Once Upon A Dream”. The rest of the album mixes dramatic instrumentals such as “ When It All Comes Down” (with a rich tenor sax solo by Lucas Pino” with reflective and searching tunes with lyrics. He gives an anti-gospel message on “To  Pray” that makes you want to pray for his soul, while “Alone in the Rain” is a introspective turned angst ridden tirade, while he looks for meaning in meaningless relationships on “Pretty Ladies”. Looking for peace when there is no peace.
