A mix of rock guitar and effects takes place on “Cloud Ear” and the rambunctious “Tufera” while the axes chime on “Blue Morpho” and go elliptical on “Epiphyte”. Hake’s vibes team up with Taylor on “Coltricia” with the drummer digging in on “Conifer Truth”. The entire mood feels like a casual get together with someone picking up on the leader’s idea to join in with more suggestions, calling for a more tight package next time around.
