Vocalist and songwriter Monika Wall puts together a gentle and folksy six song ep along with Dave Quanbury/g, Murray Pulver/g, Julian Bradford/b, Jonathan Leexiuk/key,Marc Arnould/key, Daniel Roy/d, Richard Gillis/tp and a handful of guests. Her voice is soft and easy to softly swing. Reflective in a minor mood on a glowing “Season of Rain” with acoustic guitar, savvy on the swaying “One Step” and earthy on “Let it Flow” and living as a minstrel on the fluffy “Slings and Arrow.” Quietly ambitious, especially with the liner notes declaring “Earth…produced by Monika Wall.”
