Weir’s got a deep and rich voice, sears over the heavy bass pulse of “Everybody Knows” and the R&B feeling “Freakin’.” The extra horns supplied by Matthew Benton/sax and Barrett Hocking/tp add extra texture to pieces such as Ride On” and ”Back To You” while the core team creates a lithe lilt on “Better Days” and “Moving On.” The band has a thick sound, with extra dashes of synth creating exotic atmospheres.
