What an enjoyable solo acoustic bass outing. Longtime collaborator with Braxton, Michael Jefry Stevens and others, it’s good to hear him on his own, searching as he creates, singing softly in a non-Jarretty (i.e.: whiny) way in the background along with his music. You feel his fingers pluck, the resin gets on your pants; you feel as if you’re creating this along with him.
