Two of our favorite soundmasters live in Verona, Italia, April 16, 1999. Starting with thunderous whooshes and deep bass noise, a guitar buzz intrudes and then a Hendrix/MachineGun racket, with rattling sounds like revolving ratchets, totally involving and evolving. From the squeal comes drums with the sound of uillean pipes, a calm within the flood. A lag, generic beats. Yoko-type ululations over pitterpat and birdcalls. Martial rhythms and pipes. Quiet.
