NO ONE ASKED MY OPINION, BUT…..

Why do these artists come by LA so rarely?

1. Kevin Mahogony-best baritone singer out there. Hasn’t been in an LA club in years.
2. Carla Bley-hasn’t been by in three releases
3. Gino Sitson-unique singer hasn’t hit town in almost 5 years
4. Vinicius Colantuaria-one of the best Brazilian writers who is avoids us like the plague
5. Barry Harris-bop hero who stays in the East Coast.
6. Horace Parlan-hard bop hero who stays in Europe
7. Peter Cincotti-best of the young crooners who is the quintessential “Where’s Waldo.”
8. Herb Geller-played with Clifford Brown, lives in Germany, and comes once an election year and blows away any competition.

These guys need to come to LA, and we fans need to see them every time they bless our coast.
