Melina Kastle is a honey-toned singer/songwriter who delivers some
upbeat music highly reminiscent of the 70s halcyon days of Laura Nyro
and Joni Mitchell. Along with her band of Dave Raynor-John Morton/g,
Dan Dean/b and Brad Boal/dr, she mixes and matches with accordion,
keyboards, organ and horns on various tunes to create a homesy feel to
songs like “Being You” and “Smile and Breathe.” Her themes are about
the ups and downs of everyday life and relationships, but always with
an optimistic attitude. Enjoyable and fresh from a new face.
