By now, thanks to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, Alison Krauss is a household name. Don’t let that deter you from this disc. Not only does she still have the heartfelt style that got her this far, but here, the band Union Station essentially steal the show. Jerry Douglas on dobro is a thing of wonder, as he shows on “Dimming Of The Day.” Even better, Dan Tyminski’s voice is as earthy as a Depression sharecropper on tunes like “Dust Bowl Children” and “ Bonita and Bill Butler.” He’s a force to be reckoned with. Tales of hope, faith, eternity and tenacity fill this disc, and you feel like at times in a Sunday evening service or a back porch while the moon rises. Great, moody stuff.

She's touring around the States, and will be in LA and Santa Barbara in mid June. Check out her exact dates at www.rounder.com
