Instead of the Bee Gees, we are now down to RG, better known as Robin
Gibbs. Here, he’s performing before a gigantic Danish crowd on the
grounds of Ledreborg Castel (did he buy this as well with all of his
earnings from disco?). He’s backed by The Danish National Concert
Orchestra, and essentially recreates disco fever with songs like “More
Than A Woman,” Jive Talkin’” and “You Should Be Dancing.” As to the key
question, “if two Bee Gees are missing, who would sing the falsetto
parts?” well, what’dya think? 3 women, of course? Castraltos have been
illegal since the 19th century, so we get a trio of babes doing the
part of two Brits. By the end of this festive picnic with a rip roaring
version of “Stayin’ Alive,” all that’s missing is John Travolta coming
on stage for some dance moves. Can this really be nostalgia?
