Dan Adler Ahhhhhhhhh!
The B3 trio! And guitarist Dan Adler gets it just right, bringing in the
B3 king Joey DeFrancesco along with drummer Byron Landham on this hours
worth of blues, boogie and bop. The whole question on a disc like this
is, what are they going to choose to groove on, and they pick some gems.
Obscurities like “Oh Look At Me Now” and Oscar Peterson’s
“The Smudge” keep in line with jazz standards like “Joy
Spring.” Late night bluesy cookers like “Good Old Days”
keep the toes tapping as well, and Adler’s touch on his Gibson is
all you could ask for. Love it!
